Important Voter Information


PRIMARY—TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2024

 

VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  • You may register or re-register to vote online at voteidaho.gov or at the Latah County Elections Office.

  • Election Day registration at the polls is also available with photo ID and proof of residential address.

  • You must re-register if you have moved or changed your name.

MAIL-IN/ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS:

  • You may request an absentee ballot at voteidaho.gov/casting-your-ballot/#absentee-voting  or by completing the request form at the County Courthouse.

  • Requesting an absentee ballot is easy and convenient. Your ballot arrives in your mailbox. You are able to see what’s on the ballot and research candidates or issues if you have questions. You avoid lines on election day. Voters who request absentee ballots are more likely to vote! You never know when you might not be able to get to the polls on election day.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE MAY PRIMARY ELECTION:

  • May 6—Early Voting for the Primary Election Begins.

  • May 10 —Absentee Ballot Application Deadline.

  • May 17—Early Voting for the Primary Election Ends.

  • May 17—In-Person Absentee Application Deadline.

INFORMATION FOR THE MAY 23 DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

  • May 23 (Thursday)—Reception Gallery of the 1912 Center, 412 East Third Street, Moscow. Polls will be open from 5:00 to 8:00 PM  local time.

  • The process will be inclusive, quick and easy. Voters will check in, cast their ballot, and be on their way. We welcome all voters (who have not voted in a previous caucus) and will accept absentee ballots for those unable to attend.

    • Caucus participants will be required to sign a pledge form to confirm that they are a participating as a Democrat and have not voted in another party’s presidential nominating process.     • Democrats can request an absentee ballot here. The last day to submit a request is Friday, May 16.

    • In addition to casting ballots for their presidential preference, Democrats from every corner of the state will also be electing delegates to the state convention at their county caucus. For more information, go to idahodems.org/caucus.
